Lady Storm Fundraiser:  14 girls, over $3,000 in sales in 2 weeks!  "There will be a next time, as I had a blast sharing good scents with my family and friends.
Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to share."

 - Tavi - Lady Storm Softball Fundraiser Coordinator

Soddy Daisy High School Band - This year was their 1st fundraiser with Southern Lights.  Ninety-eight kids participated and they had a total sales of $15,000!  They earned $6700, the numbers speak for themselves!

We have pre-selected 10 scents in two catagories.

One catagory is Spring/Summer and the other is Fall/Winter.  We have selected scents that have proven to be great sellers.  The time of the year will determine which catagory your scent selection will be.  Your group will earn 40% off all the sales, less any shipping fees.  We do offer samples, that each person participating can use to help the customer pick which scent they would like, but the cost of the samples will come out of the percentage earned.  We have found though, that having the samples does help the amount of overall sales become greater.

SUCCESSFUL FUNDRAISER TIPS

1.  Set a goal of how much money you want to raise and what that money is to be used for.

2.  Determine how many will be participating, then set personal goals for each participant.      Example:  Need $3,000, 10 participants, each will need to have a goal of  $300.

3. Determine what product(s) you feel will be the best to help you reach that amount of money needed.       Examples:  doughnuts, candles, coupon books, raffle, etc.

4.  Set up a reward program for particpants. (Be sure to let the participants  know what the money is going for.  This can help keep them motivated.)  Rewards should be made with the age group in mind.  Have rewards that will entice each individual in the group to strive to do their personal best.

5.  When setting the dates for your fundraiser, be sure that it will not conflict with any group activities, example:  band competitions or cheerleading competitions.

Note: The best time to have your fundraiser is in your groups off-season.  If your group has lots of activities in the fall, then have your fundraiser in the spring.

6.  Successful fundraising is not accomplished with one person, so keep parents and students alike involved in all aspects.  Everyone should be involved in order taking, order sorting and order delivery.

7.  A successful fundraiser is a well-planned fundraiser!  Do not expect to do well if you try to throw one together in a week.

8.  Let the company that you have having your fundraiser with know your goals and how many partcipants you will be having.

We hope that some of these tips will help you plan and succeed in your next fundraiser!
